If a trade confirmation is required when a transaction is entered in the system, an admin user will have to set the Confirmation Instruction to 'Generate when settled'. If no trade confirmation is required, the instruction can be set to 'Not Required'.

Please note, an advisor is unable to set the Confirmation Instruction - it must be defined by an admin user when they are approving the trade, as the action is intended to be deliberate.

Trade confirmations run once a day at the end of the day. If an investor's Communication Preference is set to 'Email' and their Notification Preference for trade confirmations is set to 'On', the investor will receive an email at the end of the day prompting them to log into their investor portal as they will have new documents available for viewing.

Please note, only one email is sent per day, regardless of how many transactions are entered or trade confirmations are generated for that investor.

To view the details of any trade confirmations that have been generated by the system, navigate to the Statements & Trade Confirmations Module on your left toolbar.

You will see a Trade Confirmation Batches table which will display (in 'batches'), the trade confirmations that were sent each day.

By selecting 'Details', you are able to view the investor, transaction number, delivery (print or email), and status. You also have the ability to choose whether or not the investor has access to this document in their portal by either toggling the 'Show Investor?' button to Yes or No.

To preview the trade confirmation, select the 'Preview' button.

If an investor's Communication Preference is set to 'Print', you are able to download a PDF copy of the trade confirmation to mail to them.
