The KYP system allows you to control Advisors' ability to view offering information and create new trades.
These settings can be controlled from within the KYP Settings tab of the Know Your Product Module.
System KYP Settings
Enable KYP Module: select whether you'd like to enable the KYP Module - No is the default. Once enabled, a new tab called KYP Settings will appear within each Advisor's profile.
After how many months from the Date Approved should the KYP expire?: the number of months the advisor will have access to the offering before their approval expires.
Allow an advisor to select an offering during transaction creation even if they are not approved to sell it: controls whether the advisor may still create trades in offerings for which they have not had an active KYP Approval Date set.
Default for View Access toggle: when creating a new offering, this toggle determines whether advisors will have access to view the offering's details and documents.
Advisor KYP Status
To both view and edit an advisor's KYP settings, access the KYP Settings tab within their advisor profile.
The tab has 2 tables: Advisor KYP Status and Advisor KYP History.
The Advisor KYP Status table allows Admin Users and Shelf Managers to control an Advisor's access to offerings and define the length of time for which the granted access will be active.
When the View Access toggle is enabled, the Advisor will have access to the applicable offering details and documents and will be able to create transactions from the Date Approved until the expiration date. The Date Approved setting determines whether the offering will be available in the advisor's offering list when creating a new trade.
Advisor KYP History
The Advisor KYP History table is an audit log, it records all changes made in the Advisor KYP Status table.
For users of the Periodic KYP feature:
The View Access toggle for an offering will automatically re-set to 'Off' when a Significant Change Notification is sent. Advisors will not be able to access the offering until new access permission is created.
