The notification system is designed to allow you to choose the kind of notifications you would like to receive, providing you with the opportunity to build a more customized workflow for yourself.

The system is separated into two areas:

  1. Setting notification preferences

  2. Viewing received notifications

Accessing Notifications

Both of the functions indicated above can be accessed from the bell icon in the top right corner off your screen.

Anytime a new or unreviewed notification exists in your system, you will see a red dot appear in this section.

Setting Notifications

Each area of the system capable of producing a notification is presented as a tab within the Notification Settings page. From here, the [+] icons can be clicked to expand the list to show all available options. Any expanded tab can be collapsed by clicking the [-] icons.

To opt into a notification, click the 'OFF' toggle to the right of the Category item. To opt out of a previous selection, click the 'ON' toggle. Please note, clicking the toggle next to any item that has a [+] or [-] icon next to it will apply the same selection to every item underneath it. You can customize the settings as you wish; there are no minimum or maximum amount of notifications that must be selected.

Once you have finished your selection, click the [Save] button in the top right corner to save your selections. You may come back to this table at any time to modify your preferences.

Viewing Notifications

All notifications received can be viewed in the Notifications table. This table is separated into different tabs for each area of the system, corresponding to the breakdown shown in the Setting Notifications table.

Each table will present different information, based on what is relevant to that notification type. By clicking the different tabs, you can view the corresponding notifications, where you will have the options to search and filter. You can mark a notification as being reviewed by toggling the "Reviewed" button next to it. Please note that once a notification is marked as "Reviewed", you will not be able to change this status once you leave the page.

Every notification has a blue [Link] button on the second to last column. By clicking on this button, you will be directed to the area of the system corresponding to the notification. Hint: by right-clicking the [Link] button and selecting "Open link in new tab", you can go review the information while still keeping your Notifications window open.

Please note

  1. Once a notification type is selected and saved, all historical notifications matching that notification type will be added to the Notifications table. In this case, historical refers to any notification generated as of the launch date of this system. To clear these historical notifications, go through each tab on the Notifications page and click the [Review All] button.

  2. Once a notification type is unselected, all existing notifications matching that notification type will be removed from the Notifications table.

  3. Any area with a red dot indicates that it contains unreviewed notifications.

    1. The red dot on the tabs in the Notifications table will only be removed once all notifications in the tab have been set to "Reviewed".

    2. The red dot on the bell icon will only be removed once all notifications in all tabs have been set to "Reviewed".

  4. All notifications in a "Reviewed" status are hidden by default. To view "Reviewed" notifications, change the "Reviewed" filter to "Yes" and click the [Search] button.
