Chrome Extensions

If you are experiencing difficulties viewing graphs or data it could be due to an update within the Chrome Internet browser.

Here is how you can fix the issue:

Some Chrome extensions are blocking the Exempt Edge system from loading data.

In some cases it has been caused by an extension called “Ad Blocker” - after disabling this extension everything should be working. Ad Blocker will mistake the graphs and other data for ads.

To access the extension manager in Chrome:

  • Select 'More Tools' - Extensions

When directed to the extensions page, you’re going to un-check “Enabled” next to all the extensions that are currently checked

  • Once that’s done, you can go back into Exempt Edge and see if you’re still experiencing the same issue. If it’s working now, then just go back to the extension manager and click Enabled on each extension individually then go back to Exempt and refresh - if the problems comes back, then you know which extension is causing the issue.

If you would like to avoid completely disabling Ad Blocker, you can set it to always show ads on Exempt Edge.

Always show ads on some sites (or certain pages on a site)

You can tell Ad Blocker to never run at all on certain websites while still working everywhere else.

  • Click the AdBlock button in the browser toolbar, select Don't run on pages on this domain, and then click Exclude.

Another option is to click the AdBlock button in the browser toolbar, select Pause AdBlocker, and then when you are done in the Software select Unpause AdBlocker.
