When you click on the “+ Add Advisor or Assistant” button, the resulting window will allow you to select the type of user you wish to create. If you select “Assistant,” you will be shown the “Limited Assistant Access” toggle.
As outlined in the disclaimer below, Assistants with Limited Access do not have access to transactional commission details. If an Advisor requires their Assistant(s) to have access to this information, the “Limited Assistant Access” toggle must be switched to “No.”
Assistants with full access have all the same capabilities and information as an Advisor, for more on the different access roles please refer to the Assistant User Types guide at the bottom of this article.
An Assistant, regardless of access level, can be assigned to any number of Advisors. Simply select the Advisors to which the Assistant should be assigned from the “Assigned Advisors” drop-down menu. The Assistant’s profile will then contain investor and transactional information associated with the chosen Advisor(s).
This same feature is available when creating a new Advisor. Simply choose which Assistant(s) you wish to assign to the Advisor by clicking the “Assigned Assistants” drop-down menu.
Please note: Advisors and Assistants must first be created by an Admin user before they will appear in this drop-down menu.
