Updating a KYC

Find out how to update and correct your Know Your Client information within your Exempt Edge Portal.

Key information: Once a KYC is activated, it cannot be edited. It is obligatory to create a new KYC with the new/correct information in order to override the previous one.

  1. Create a Duplicate KYC.

In the Investors Module, navigate to the KYC tab where you will find the Active KYC.

Create a duplicate KYC by clicking the highlighted button.

*When you hover the cursor it shows "Duplicate KYC”.

2. Access Editable KYC Tabs

The duplicate KYC page has editable tabs where you can enter new or edit previous KYC information.

3. Back to Active KYC

After filling out the KYC, click the "Back to Active KYC" link at the top of the page (right next to the investor's name).

*All inputs are automatically saved once you move away from this page.

4. Push To Pending

You can keep the KYC in edit mode or you can push it to pending status.

*When a KYC is pushed to pending, it is locked and no further changes can be made.

Click the highlighted button, "Push To Pending" then click "Yes, Lock & Push" if you are ready to proceed with signing or downloading your KYC.

5. Activate New KYC

Before activation, the status of the newly created KYC will be “Pending Activation” .

Click the checkmark to start activation.

Select a "Signed Date" then click “Activate KYC”.

*The previous KYC will then expire and the new one will be the active version.
